Type 3: description and recommendationIn comparison to the general development your village is hardly affected by the decrease of population. The relation between younger and older people and between immigrants and emigrants is still balanced. Most of your village's inhabitants have their relatives living in the closer surrounding, so that the risk of vacancy is quite low. However: the demographical situation in Europe, especially in countryside regions, gives reason to worry. That is why you need to act, too. We recommend to watch the further demographical development in your village carefully and to renew your data annually. Even though your demographical development is quite positive your opportunities concerning development are relatively slim. Unstable social and economical structures are no good supposition to keep people in your village and to attract immigrants. Thus, make sure you improve your local structures. Figure out what you can do yourself in your village! Try to find ideas how to keep local enterprises in your village and how to animate other ones to settle locally. How can you strengthen the local enterprises - do they need more orders, more publicity, more apprenticeships? Do younger people know about the local job opportunities? Ask local clubs and associations how to involve more young people in their activities. Show clearly to older and more traditional clubs and associations that their existence depends on recruiting young members. Look for people who have ideas or who intend to establish a club or an association - support them!
